How long does it take to become a real estate agent in Singapore?

It will take around six months, including completing the RES course, taking the exam, and registering with an agency.

How long is the RES course completion certificate valid?

It remains valid for two years. If you don't pass both papers within that timeframe, you'll need to retake the course.

What is the RES exam format?

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes for each paper

Format: Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are of the same format
• Section A: 60 MCQs (60 marks)
• Section B: 20 MCQs with reference to 1 or 2 Case Studies (40 marks)

Is the RES exam difficult?

How many times can I retake the RES exam?

You're allowed unlimited retakes during the 2-year validity period of your RES course certificate. Do note, though, that CEA holds the exam only 3 times annually.
